The Hawkshead based company were acknowledged for their marketing achievements in propelling their regional preserves into a globally recognised brand.
Mark Whitehead, managing director of the Hawkshead Relish Company & Kate Nicholson Sales & Marketing Manager were presented with the award by television presenter Helen Skelton at a glittering ceremony within Kendal College.
These prestigious awards organised by the Cumbria Life Magazine bring together the cream of the counties flourishing food & drink industry and celebrate the rich diversity & outstanding quality of Cumbrian cuisine.

The panel of judges were impressed by the determined & innovative marketing strategy within this small company, using limited financial resources in gaining boundless recognition as well as consistence company growth in both the home & overseas markets.
Hawkshead Relish established in 2001 produce a range of over 120 handmade preserves already boast over 50 Great Taste awards from the Guild of Fine Food, have already seen recognition in 2015 by being named ‘GREAT Faces of North West’, in a government sponsored business award.
The company supplies nationally to UK independent retailers, the hospitality industry as well as exporting to 32 countries over 5 continents.
