Hawkshead Relish has shaken up a stir by launching 4 NEW preserves inspired by COCKTAILS.
These sweet and savoury combinations which were unveiled at the International Food & Drink Expo certainly raise the bar of creative cuisine and demonstrate the culinary flare of this Lake District based speciality food producer who currently hold 50 Great Taste awards.
- Mojito Marmalade , Having already won a prestigious SILVER at the ‘Worlds Original Marmalade Awards’ this is created with refreshing zesty lime, fresh mint and laced with white rum creating a summery tonic for toast.
- Margarita Jelly , A combination of lively lemon, apple juice, tequila and Halen Mon sea salt is a perfect pep up for seafood and fish.
- Bloody Mary Chutney , incorporates ripe tomatoes with a glug of the award winning ‘name sake’ Worcestershire style sauce Hawkshead Relish and vodka inviting a BBQ binge for bangers and burgers.
- Strawberry Daiquiri Jam , English strawberries, white rum and a hint of lemon juice creates a teatime treat for a lawn picnic.
Mark Whitehead, director and co-owner provides the inspiration behind the award winning Hawkshead Relish range, which has become renowned for innovative flavour combinations that enthuse the speciality food industry as well as being recognised by chefs and food critics.
‘A family holiday in Rome planted the idea’, exclaims Mark. ‘The weather was amazing and we were all indulging in summery cocktails, the combinations of which presented themselves as perfect for preserves!’.
These unique handmade preserves boast the finest locally sourced ingredients and created without any artificial colouring, flavouring or preservatives. All are gluten & nut free as well as suitable for vegetarians.
