Honey from the Lake District is very difficult to come by, with the bee population dwindling over the past few years. We gather our honey from a variety of local sources and occasionally from further afield, mostly from Lancashire and the North West of England, and it is lovely. Honey is renowned as being a fabulous antiseptic so not only should you have it on your porridge, in your tea and on your toast but also on your cuts!
