Jamie Olivers' fifteen foundation students visit us

The Foundation exists to inspire disadvantaged young people – homeless, unemployed, overcoming drug or alcohol problems - to believe that they can create for themselves great careers in the restaurant industry. Last year a group of these students came to the Lake District, they came to see Peter Gott and the Wild Boar at Sillfield Farm, Hawkshead Brewery and ourselves at Hawkshead Relish. Someof the students had never been out of the city before and were amazed to see real animals in the fields. It was a steep learning curve for us as well as them and we hope that they will come back again so they can see what we are doing and check out other options for their new careers.
